The post Xitter web has spawned so many “esoteric” right wing freaks, but there’s no appropriate sneer-space for them. I’m talking redscare-ish, reality challenged “culture critics” who write about everything but understand nothing. I’m talking about reply-guys who make the same 6 tweets about the same 3 subjects. They’re inescapable at this point, yet I don’t see them mocked (as much as they should be)

Like, there was one dude a while back who insisted that women couldn’t be surgeons because they didn’t believe in the moon or in stars? I think each and every one of these guys is uniquely fucked up and if I can’t escape them, I would love to sneer at them.

      Shame noone mentioned Gram. Seems like it really deserves the attention.

      I think I’ll take my clues and abandon my attempts to build up a nvim/vim config. All I want is decent modal editing and LSP support without having to descend into plugin hell. Gram might do that for me.

      didn’t want to post this on mastodon, somebody else can do that i guess. if you look at the maintainer’s youtube (which he links to himself on his website), you’ll find a public playlist (archive) titled “history”. contained are lots of recorded talks from such luminaries such as curtis yarvin, peter thiel, eric weinstein.

        Emacs is so wonderfully capable I’m pretty sure we’re all just running in an emacs buffer somewhere. Nothing built by humans could be so nice.
