So my username on reddit was u/IAmUser1234567 I had 17k+ Karma, i didn’t do anything they just banned my account. Now i guess they have created a digital fingerprint or marked my ip address, because if i create a new account it gets banned almost instantly.
I am loving lemmy(using Voyager on my android phone) so much. Reddit anyways now just contains shity cringe content, it is becoming like insta, I am happy to join lemmy family :)

The other day I got a week-long ban. Here’s the notification.
Here’s my incredibly hateful comment.
They do be banning people for no reason these days
Mentioning the USA and religion is unlikely going to go well on US social media, unless you are asking for thoughts, prayers, and guns.
the terms “jail the” plus identity triggered the ban. I’m not surprised.
I’m not surprised either. I just wish there was human intervention before a week long ban was enacted, rather than making me beg like a dog after
Your ban seems like one of two things:
The person or bot didn’t understand you were being sarcastic (hell, even I’m not 100% sure)
The person or bot didn’t receive (or bother to check) the context, which hints at the above
Sarcastically stating something is a dangerous game, and you got burnt.
I feel like it’s maybe the most obvious sarcasm in history. Like, it shouldn’t take more than a middle school level reading comprehension to understand that I’m pointing out how a so-called “originalist” can arbitrarily hold beliefs about the meaning of the text that are in direct contradiction to the literal written text.
I shouldn’t have to add a /s when I say something that’s obviously wrong
