Doubt it.
Yeah. Apple, Google, etc. are gatekeppers according to the EU, Nintendo currently isn’t. So they can do it without pushback, others can’t.

What? That has never been true. The Switch OS is a continuation of the 3DS OS which is why Yuzu is a fork of Citra. Switch uses a few Android libraries here and there and also some FreeBSD code in the kernel.
Seems you confuse Nintendo with Huawei and their HarmonyOS which used to be an Android fork.

Unless somebody (you?) posted another video showing the output of such an USB analyzer here, it does bring something new to the table. It’s definitively 1000% more insightful than your “LTT, ewww” comment.
Switch 2 is a massive upgrade over the original. There are business practices to criticize (key cards, no OLED screen, paid cloud saves, this dock) but to claim that it’s just a minor upgrade is to say it bluntly quite ignorant. Other recent handhelds could take a hint regarding power consumption and weight.

A central relay/proxy is even worse than your current approach. People are obviously free to set up their own Lemmy/Mastodon server if they want a relay.
And relying on a single volunteer to ship crucial security updates? Disabling the shitty FF features may be hidden in about:config but as long as this is possible, using upstream FF is still the most secure way to use a Gecko browser.

There is no mandate by Nintendo that ports must cost 70 Euro, the 3rd parties simply follow the example set by Nintendo. They could sell it for 50 but chose not to.
People who have more than one gaming system have little reason to buy Switch versions of their games. Of the announced Switch 2 games, I already have MK World and looking forward to Metroid Prime 4. Everything else I’m looking forward to, I rather play on Steam Deck where deals are much better and I get stuff like cloud saves for free.
This is still very positive news for the long term viability of the Switch 2 because having a solid install base means third parties have more incentive to port games to the system.
If multiplatform games continue to be more expensive on Switch2 than on other systems, they’ll probably not sell that well anyway. People usually buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games. 3rd parties need to earn their place.
