It was supposed to rain, but we pressed on, and it ended up being beautiful. Chilly but pleasant. Just cold enough to make you appreciate the warm fire. Plus the sound of the river to lull you to sleep.

I’ve been wanting to do this but the bridge being down and the cold have stopped me! Did you just do it as an out and back?
Late fall/early winter camping is actually my favorite time - way less bugs and crowds, just bring a good sleeping bag rated for at least 10° lower than expected temps and you’ll be comfy af!
