That’s good to know that drying it out works. Same filter? 7 years? Awesome! Maybe I just need to do that. I’m surprised it can dry at all, honestly.

I wonder how the filter material differs to that of the life straw. The life straw has instructions that if you let it dry out and it stops working, you can fix it by soaking it in coconut milk. Something about the milk helps reduce surface tension or something, it’s crazy.

You could always move out to the country and raise your own cows, just a few, for the milk and occasionally meat. Get some chickens too, for endless eggs.

Farm a small plot of land to feed them.

Get a big freezer, resign yourself to eating meat monthly instead of weekly or daily, and you’ll be set for life with minimal impact on the environment.

Right!? I’ve lived here my whole life, so it’s normal for me. But when we had friends in to visit from a coastal state, the waves were big, and they were amazed. They kept forgetting it wasn’t the ocean, and they loved that they didn’t have to rinse off the salt afterwards 😁

Yeah it’s crazy, the Mackinac bridge is like 5 miles long, no foot traffic allowed except for one day of the year when thousands of people get together and walk across it.

It’s the same body of water, one lake. It’s just massive, and surrounds the lower peninsula of Michigan, so they gave each side of the lake a different name.

Truly it’s massive, it behaves almost like the ocean in a lot of ways. A lot of water.

Love my hammock. Trying to get the wife to like it, but her first experience was suboptimal. Gonna try again next summer.
