          Yep. I don’t follow Pokémon so I had to double check. There’s usually some weaselly stuff going on with Pokémon as it’s technically The Pokémon Company and Gamefreaks doing the heavy lifting… but Nintendo did indeed publish Pokopia outside of Japan. No weaseling out of this one.

            Nintendo specifically said that Nintendo developed games wouldn’t be key cards, so even though it is weaselly, it does follow what they said.

            Pokémon games while published by Nintendo are pretty much their own things. Even the polish and quality are not always up to the mark of other Nintendo games, but there is no denying that they are still part of Nintendo.

      I’d have to really think about it, to be honest. I’m sure buying used sidesteps a lot of the ethics there, but I also have been feeling less console-y lately.

      I may just wait a bit and see if other handhelds figure out a solution. Yarr and all that or whatever.
