Putler and Russia would’ve looked less like idiots had they gone home after 3 days and just stated that the operation was no longer necessary, or whatever. I guess even Putin didn’t fully know how hard he and his country sucks.
He is very much doing this on purpose to distract russian citizens and his allies from the sorry state his country is in.
I mean, at one point they very nearly occupied Kyiv. Thank fucking god they didn’t, but I think this is a little more than a distraction.
There was fighting near Kyiv, yes, but never in the city itself. They couldn’t do it even with the element of suprise and after that it was just downhill
