Construction works on the railway section from Kriva Palanka to the tunnel between Bulgaria and North Macedonia, part of Pan-European Transport Corridor VIII, are expected to begin in the summer. The public procurement procedure for selecting a supervisor for the third stage of the route on the territory of North Macedonia has already been launched, and within the next ten days a tender for selecting a contractor is also expected to be announced, North Macedonia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski told journalists here on Thursday.
It is incredible that in 21st century Europe it is still possible that countries are not connected via rail.
@mapto@feddit.bg turns out Macedonia is not the country with the least developed railways, and the link to Bulgaria is not the only one missing. It also has no links to Greece and Albania. Neither do these two countries have a link.
