Russian President Vladimir Putin is warning that Moscow will extend its gains in Ukraine if Kyiv and its Western allies reject the Kremlin's demands in peace talks.
It’s such comically obvious geopolitical bullying. But it’s funnier because they are demonstrably utterly incapable of achieving air - let alone general strategic - dominance, so they have to couch their threats in terms like “we will seek”.
Not to mention, even if the ruskies do somehow pull out win eventually, they are gonna have the most absolutely insidiously brutal - and largely invisible and undetectable (since Ukrainians generally do not have much trouble at all passing for native Russians) - insurgency the world has ever seen operating inside of a nuclear power.

Would be an interesting way for Ukraine to become a nuclear power again.
