For those seeking out a federated and open alternative to Tumblr, Wafrn is looking extremely promising. It can speak both ActivityPub and AT Protocol, offers a ton of interesting features and customization, and focuses on making an incredibly fun experience.
Are we able to subscribe using Lemmy/piefed/ect to creators?
Lemmy doesn’t have a concept of a post that isn’t attached to a community. It’s probably possible to post to Lemmy from Wafrn by tagging a community as it is with Mastodon.
You can follow Wafrn users from Mastodon, Misskey, Pleroma, etc…
I hope one day the Lemmy developers arrive at the idea that a person could be a community, somewhat like the way Mastodon treats communities as users. It’s a confusing generalisation, but it works.
Remote profiles appear to show up, it might be possible to also remotely pull in posts. I didn’t see Subscribe functionality in Lemmy, but maybe PieFed or MBin support that.

Yeah, Wafrn uses both protocols, and basically runs its own PDS and AppView.
It’s activitypub, but can be configured to also use AT as well.
That’s awesome. I was hoping both would be supported at some point.
