I would say I mostly agree with the authors of the video.
One thing I do is tha I pass with red in some particular cases because it improves my safety. Specifically if I know the crossing and if there is a turn right lane that has green before the straight one. I will go straight to half of the crossing to not stay in the lane waiting with fast cars passing me on the right.
This video pretty much sums up exactly how I behave when getting around on my bike. Since traffic laws where I live basically say that legally, bikes are cars, I doesn’t really make sense to follow the law when doing so puts me in more danger, for example how treating a stop sign as a yield is safer and how I might use a sidewalk if the road has no bike lane and has a speed of 60 km/h or more.
I don’t think they have to follow any rules. They need to follow all laws however.
