    Has he ever offered anything vaguely resembling a reason for his being opposed to Ukraine joining Nato? Or just “wah wah wah because i said so”?

      It would make Russia’s invasion an aggressive action against a NATO state and leave them open to actual retaliation and sanctions. Putin doesn’t like that, so his dribbling elderly pug has been told to say it’s bad.

        Sure, that’s what’s actually going on, but I’m interested in what he would claim the reasons are. Politicians in general should have to explain themselves, in their own words, a lot more but this one in particular.

      He’s pretty anti-NATO in general, ostensibly because the US pays more for it than Europe (and you know Trump loves to bitch about how unfair Europe is to the US).
