I’m surprised Hawaii isn’t a lot bigger. Seems like those two states would team up on maps.
I’m torn. Alaska is about 100 times the size of Hawaii, so this seems about right. But also I like the thought of enormous Hawaii besides very big Alaska.
It’s about sending a message.
They made Hawaii about the same size as the other 48 combined though. I guess that’s something.
Relative to the lower 48, Hawaii looks huge!

That’s awesome. Considering that Alaska is an afterthought on most maps of the U.S., this seems only fair.
Sort of? “It’s a tiny section of our population” is a pretty legit reason to pay less attention, though.
