Spain more than France, but both, tend to eat later, wake up later, as a response. Farming schedules are going to be dawn till dusk, and food market/retail hours would tend to follow. Stock market traders will match sleep/work schedule to market hours.

I’m not sure. I would bike on those streets before bike lanes, and the lanes have “taught” people how to ride bikes. For Bloor, There are side street routes east of high park/Dundas. College is ok. Short spurts on Dundas and Bloor (though this is high speed parts of those streets). After Humber river, west, there’s more side street routes. Hopefully at least a painted lane still exists on those stretches, but it is not a parking area.

Sad. I presume it is still legal to bike on those streets, or in the city, and so there’s no actual traffic improvement during busy periods. Just less safe.
