Russia must be out there ditching UAVs like they’re rolling a Gatcha game.

Do we really want to know what negative accountability looks like?

As much as I like to joke about it, that sounds like a legal nightmare… an AI making all decisions of a company, so now there’s even less accountability than before

People are upset about the lack of regulation, the fact that these companies have been allowed to scrape everything ever and make a commercial product with other people’s creations without agency or payment

This is certainly what I’m upset about.

It’s mass intellectual property theft on a level that’s never been seen before, yet there’s been minimal Government action against it - and since everybody affected has been left to fend for themselves, only the giants who can afford it have any meaningful legal defence against it.

The fact that they’re still doing this means people are falling for it, and I feel sorry for those people, cause this scam is clearly designed to prey on those who feel lonely and are too naive to know better

Yeah. Was thinking why is Greenland so high until I remembered Greenland doesn’t even have 100k people in it, so any amount of homicides was gonna drag that number right up

If that were the case, and it was something I chose, I certainly wouldn’t mind it anywhere near as much - but the ones being forced upon you by every tech company alive right now are none of those things, and are all data harvesters disguised as utilities.

It sort of makes sense for most of the countries on there, as they (or the slice of them in the awkward timezone) aren’t big enough to justify splitting their timezones in half. Just pick the one that matches the most people and move on…

But what the bloody hell are countries like Spain, Portugal, and France doing?? Basically their whole country is in the wrong timezone!

I think AI tools have (and will have) their uses, but AI as a whole has been hyped up so much for so long now that the bubble is bound to burst sooner or later.

And when it does, hopefully we can go back to not having AI shoved into every fucking thing imaginable…

No I don’t want an AI on my phone or computer trawling through all my data for you, just to give me some handy search feature I almost certainly won’t use.

Regardless of what you think of Trudeau otherwise, he’s absolutely right here. Russia cannot be allowed to break international law without consequence, as it would show other countries cough Israel cough that they can get away with impunity as long as they have nukes
