That pretty much sums up the Russian army at this point. Can’t wait to see what happens when Russia loses this war and Putin’s eventually overthrown by the surviving oligarchs.

The first Switch still seemed like a good purchase because you could own the physical cartridge of a game so it’ll still be available long after its servers shut down. The Switch 2 just gives you a physical NFT with which to download the game with. Anyone who purchases this system will be very disappointed a few years later when it cuts off access to their library.

When you’ve been relying on a free source of defense for decades, it’s attractive to divert investment into something more directly beneficial to the citizenry. Better late than never, at least.

Really curious how much higher than 30 per 100k is in Las Vegas. I saw a suicide once in The Excalibur. Poor guy shot himself in the lobby. When I came back 30 minutes later everything looked like nothing happened at all.

I can kinda see how Mexico is a “hybrid regime.” Its current president won with approximately 60% of the vote. Its federal government is enjoying unprecedented approval from its citizens. OTOH dozens of mayoral candidates have been assassinated by cartels over the past few years.

They could just pretend to be KIA and walk away right? It’s not like the NK government would have the resources to figure out if they defected or simply died and got a field burial.
