  • No I just don’t care because world’s richest man quasi-president of the west is flying on private jets, sponsoring far-right parties globally which have popular support to take my rights away. Minor an inconvenience as this thing may be, I don’t care enough even to tolerate it for one moment when the rich and powerful get away with so much. In fact - the way things are, the way people are - I have absolutely zero desire to see the environment saved or the people prosper.

But you go on ahead, suck the cuck cap and pray to your capitalist overlords. The EU is finished.

  • I have a high aversion to echo chambers because I too am a human same as everyone and find people just agreeing with me grossly unstimulating and seek out takes opposite to mine to understand them, deconstruct them and apply them to my own views either to refine/change them with a newly gained perspective or to argue against the opposing view.

I blocked all of those people because they are just unsalvageable people in my view. I was discussing the finer points of relative drug danger with some guy in a thread, talking about hypothetical lethal dosages for ht-2a classical psychedelics, and the guy was bringing up “Woodstock” and “brown acid” and how he “heard of a guy” etc etc.

There’s no point discussing anything ever with a person like that, it’s clear that we think along such different lines the differences are irreconcilable, like trying to convince someone not to be a bigot or disprove someone’s belief in religion/conspiracy with evidence and reason, when they just believe in that stuff, they don’t think about it and weren’t reasoned into it.

  • Yeah? Which ones am I not? Lol I’m not a shitposter wtf?

I’m only banned from communities to do with queerness, socialism, Europe, news, ADHD and politics. I’m a trans woman from Europe who has ADHD, is a socialist (Anarchist) with an interest in news and politics.

My hobbies also include hacking, planes (simming primarily the A320 and general aviation interest), milsims, trains, AI, philosophy, social sciences, history, paleontology (especially the Cambrian and Devonian), music production (DAWs, plugins, synths, etc.), video making (esp. editing), programming, space (orbital mechanics/astrodynamics and astronomy), Unix/Linux/BSD, SelfHosted/homelab stuff, gaming (inc. the culture), macroeconomics, electronics (as in, breadboard prototyping, IoT with pi/arduino, embedded hacking and physics of electricity), flashlights, manga, TV shows (just finished Generation Kill), Star Trek, drugs (psychs mostly), retro computing (C64 and Amiga) and many more I can’t recall rn and I seek out and subscribe to communities on Lemmy for all of them, plus those with differing opinions politically e.g. neoliberal/neocon, socdem, tankies etc.

Is that really so odd? It’s pretty normal to me. I used Reddit in the same way.

I just don’t have insane hivemind opinions, but relatively reasonable ones and voicing any of that (Ukraine right to self-defense, gender dysphoria is a medical disorder treated by transition - not a choice, AI can be useful etc etc.) seems to be a big no-no on some parts of Lemmy.

Anyway this is all extremely off-topic at this point so I’ll probs delete this thread later but I’m genuinely curious why you’d think I’m a shitposter.
