The US will abandon its efforts “within days” to broker a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine unless there are clear signs a settlement can be reached, the US secretary of state, Marco Rubio, has said, as Kyiv says it has signed a memorandum with the US over a controversial minerals deal.

The US republican admin “efforts” thus far, pieced together from news articles and opinion pieces:
- Ukraine loses every occupied territory
- Ukraine signs deal giving US(Trump and Co.) half of whatever’s left of their minerals
- Ukraine stops all attempts to join NATO, EU or any other acronym that threatens Russia’s feelings
- A demilitarized zone set up on Ukraine’s remaining territory that Russia can patrol (rob) at will to make sure it stays demilitarized.
- US( Trump and Co.) makes a deal with Russia for exploiting the newly acquired resources on occupied territory.
- Immediate elections are held in Ukraine with no EU interference, but very much with Russian supervision
- Zelenskyy probably to be sent to Russia for “trial”
- “Denazification” of Ukraine army aka getting rid of it entirely or replacing it with Russian loyalists.
… So yeah, much “effort” on their part…
