I question the design of this study. It seems that there was no control group with full-sized horses and donkeys.
Or miniature teenagers.
It seems the point of the study is on the relationship between teens and animals. Not to demonstrate that this specific animals were doing it better than others. Or did I get it wrong?
I think it would improve my mood too.

I took my kid to a school event, and there was a petting zoo that had some minuature horses among other things. One of the kindergarten aged kids pointed at the smallest horse and proclamed it to be a “Lowercase Horse”.
