    People are buying Chinese because they can’t afford European.

    Same was in my country when we entered the EU and we got Lidl and people started buying from Lidl because it was half the price as local goods so it was the same “buy local, support our communities” and people didn’t go back because they couldn’t afford it or they now had the money to maybe go on a vacation or pay some debts.

    It’s always the same, they don’t want us to buy cheap products and they don’t want to pay us fair wages, or at least stop inflating prices for local goods.

      “procurement” is about government spending. The government can afford whatever the fuck it wants.

      Yeah, I cried the day the EU put a tariff on aliexpress. I was just not eating out 2 less days a month to buy myself a fuck ton of trinkets and oddities
