OP is talking about alternative text for images, for people who can’t see. The alternative text is a description of the image. I’m not sure how you could achieve automated alternative text without AI?

One reason for that is lack of IT competency outside any “mainstream” solutions. These people sit in a web GUI all day and have no underlying understanding of how AWS work.

What’s great about Mistral is that they have to follow the EU AI act.

Friendica is closest, but it does not really do well what I use Facebook for. I use Facebook for the small, niche group or the local community group and that’s it. Friendica does so “groups”, but it’s far from the same experience.
