Maybe something like “VISA/Mastercard alternatives available”? Like Proton allows you to pay in cash and Bitcoin. No need to go into too much detail.

Really nice work! Good job.
One thing I miss, is which payment options they support. You are mostly forced to use VISA or Mastercard.

I host on my own hardware. Hopefully said hardware will continue to last for a long time.
This also calls for more optimisation from the developers, meaning less use of resources on the hardware.

Their GitHub issues. They are also on their Matrix channel.

Alternatively, it’s built into the platform. So when someone uploads an image to Lemmy a local AI model does the description.
Edit: Then it could even be marked as AI generated and people could choose to be exposed to it or not.

Not sure you and the OP is on the same page? Or maybe I’m not.
OP is talking about alternative text for images, for people who can’t see. The alternative text is a description of the image. I’m not sure how you could achieve automated alternative text without AI?
If you are talking about OCR, even that is AI powered.

Why are they talking about a cable manufacturer when they are also saying that they make the cables themselves, except for the actual heads, which they get from China.

I must commend Lemmy.ml for remaining neutral and not letting its own political leanings influence [join-lemmy.org](https://join-lemmy.org/instances), while simultaneously condemn PieFed.social for this immature move that is harmful to the health of the Fediverse.

Because OP is comparing apples to oranges.

join-lemmy.org and piefed.social is not the same thing. One is a page about software and the other is an instance. Why shouldn’t rimu be able to run piefed.social they way they see fit?
I am not seeing any political influence at join.piefed.social. join.piefed.social even links to the instance chooser of https://nord.pub/auth/instance_chooser

Is this permanent bans and/or temporary bans?
One reason for that is lack of IT competency outside any “mainstream” solutions. These people sit in a web GUI all day and have no underlying understanding of how AWS work.

What’s great about Mistral is that they have to follow the EU AI act.

Friendica is closest, but it does not really do well what I use Facebook for. I use Facebook for the small, niche group or the local community group and that’s it. Friendica does so “groups”, but it’s far from the same experience.
😮
How old is the dataset?
PeerTube.wtf
This looks really awesome. If an instance is following a lot of other instances, that will make it small and blue on the chart, yes? That’s why I can’t find my instance? 😅
There’s lots on content on the Threadiverse that I find pointless or dumb, but that’s why I only subscribe to communities that interest me… If I feel like punishing myself, I go to /all 😂😁😘
