Russia does own commercial nuclear powered ships though, notably a cargo and like a half dozen breakers though the cargo ship has been laid up since 2025.
I knew about the icebreakers, but I thought beyond that niche everyone had given up on nuclear propulsion for civilian vessel with any ships scrapped or converted to oil.
The US converted Savannah to diesel, Russia should have given up on the nuclear cargo ship too but it was a point of pride from the cold war and Russia doesn’t know when to cut losses.

This ship is not nuclear powered. Its just operated by Rosatom.
Yanina was the last nuclear cargo ship and its been decommissioned.
