Step back for a second, imagine you are a Belarusian armored brigade commander and you are being pressured by Belarusian higher ups to come up with a plan to attack Ukraine in a bold move where you take territory for the glory of Belarus… and russia hands you these tanks with no active drone protection… nor with any passive “Turtle Tank” equipment installed, nor minimalist but very effective Ukrainian articulating cage setups…

It is pathetic… insulting… absurd… delusional…

This is where war meets politics, the reality is so undeniable that at a certain point politics no longer can deny the reality of existential tactical incompetence.

No doubt this is worrying, tanks are useful… except I am not sure these are especially with inexperienced crews… but this is a million miles from being given old abrams tanks… which the US and others need to do for Ukraine. How about Egypt???

    I find it very interesting they don’t seem to be bragging about the upgrades the “BM2” has over the 1985 made “B” version.

    The sensor suite has also been updated to improve firing accuracy. It includes a meteorological sensor, as well as wind, roll, pitch and charge temperature sensors.

    Only the finest technology that western tanks had in the mid 90s.

    In addition, the tank receives a new ballistic computer that automatically introduces sight corrections during firing. The “Double” mode has also been implemented, allowing the tank commander to control the weapons and fire.

    And the most groundbreaking 80s ballistic computer tech as well.

    The tank is also equipped with modern optical and thermal imaging observation devices for the commander and driver, as well as an auxiliary diesel power unit that allows the main systems to operate without starting the main engine.

    Wow, a separate APU! Thats so new, Germany wouldn’t use one until 1979.
