I guess it was inevitable after the recent humiliation of Putin when Moscow was attacked. It is just interesting that it took some days for the Russians to scramble material for this attack. They did not have all that ordinance ready at hand, which very much weakens the signal Putin wanted to send. It shows his weakness rather than the superiority he imagined.
