@s1m0n4 ok, first thing. Yes Labour here has offered €25,000 to drivers to give up their licence. However, you only qualify if:
You are under 50, own a car,
Have been driving in Malta for at least seven years
Reason for the scheme: there are 445,000 registered vehicles in Malta
I gave up my car when I left the UK 14 years ago. I only drive a hire car when I’m abroad if I absolutely need a car, I haven’t driven on Malta in all the years I’ve been lived here

To date over 100 people have taken up the scheme. It ends July 1st!
