Greece will offer military means and personnel to bolster Bulgaria’s defenses following a request by the neighboring country, Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias said on Friday.

Dendias said that a battery of air and missile Patriot defense ‌system will be moved to northern Greece to cover a large part ‌of Bulgaria, an EU and NATO country that borders Greece in the north.

Two Greek F16 fighter jets will ‌also be stationed in the north for additional protection to Bulgaria, while senior officers ‌of Greek air forces will move to ‌Sofia to help with the coordination, Dendias said.
