Ukrainian SOF's Middle Strike unit knocked out the S-400's launcher, its 92N6E radar station, and auxiliary components using drones. The unit's rones also destroyed the Pantsir-S1 that covered the site from drone attack.
In fairness, you wouldn’t use Patriot missiles against FPV drones either, these are counters for specific threats and it’s normal to operate them together.
Just because they both defend against airborne threats doesn’t mean they can do both. You don’t defend against tanks the same as against infantry either even though they’re both ground-based
The UI looks like FP-1/2 which is a pretty fucking big , relatively slow moving fixed-wing UAV, pantsir is a perfect fit for that. Though there are more than one occasion of their missiles just missing, from the drone’s perspective.
When the russian anti air sucks so much, that it needs another anti air to defend itself.
