Honestly, I am the only one who post there and it gets tiresome. I know the communities are small but come on. If each person posted one article a week they found interesting then I think the community would grow.
I would not say I share the same feeling but I quite do. A few people have posted in ‘my’ community—which I would love so much to be ours—but beside me a year or so ago trying to regularly post and make the community feel more lively, there is not much going on… and there is even less since I have stopped posting for the last few months.
I have committed myself to start posting end next March (or maybe April, as I’m too occupied with personal matters up until then) but I’m not certain it serves any purpose to do it.
I mean, if people just want to be fed endless flow of content down their throat, there is Reddit and many, many other places that are more than willing to feed them whatever they fancy, eat all you can type of places. I (naively?) thought we wanted to do something different around here, something less related to blindly consuming and more interested in sharing and exchanging. growing something, like you rightfully said. Maybe I was wrong all along?
If I have to post all by myself, I may as well do it on my blog. At least, I know the content will not vanish because a community goes down.
A bit of the same. I go and schedule at least one post/video each day. It gets tiresome…but seeing the number of subscribers go slowly up and a tint but more engagement makes it worth it for me.
But it certainly feels like rolling a boulder up a hill forever!
I joined this after reddit blocked my account everytime several times and was looking for sites like reddit Andi found this today still figuring out how to use it.
Welcome!
