Understood that Russia always starts with absurd maximalist goals. The U.N. under Putin’s stooge Guterres is a do-nothing, completely compromised Russian agency anyways, so this is conquest by other means. While being frequently useless, never in it’s history has the U.N. stood by so blantantly during a full scale war and had nothing to say about it. Much less one by a permanent member of the “Security” Council. This perverted old gangster ghoul lives in an utter fantasy planet.
The UN is a do-nothing by design. The only way it can influence something is by creating peer pressure, which, quite obviously, has little effect on big bullies with veto rights.
And ironically, demanding a UN-governance is actually several steps down from the maximalist demands of pootler - they started with the idea of complete elimination of the Ukrainian state, went into demanding territory that they will take decades and millions of lives to occupy, now to a neutral, not even puppet government.

In the meantime, nothing strategically relevant has changed on the battlefield, nor is Russia even gearing up beyond their regular conscription runs. If you need troops and equipment today, you needed to mobilize them 6-12 months ago and be doing non-stop training since then. They’re not even doing that. This is the endgame.
Russia is exactly the kind of place that needs external governance.
