New Airline Route to Connect Sofia and Bucharest Starting October 1

A new airline route will connect Sofia and Bucharest from October 1, 2025, Bulgarian Ambassador to Romania Radko Vlaykov and Cristian Pandel, co-owner of the Romanian airline AnimaWings, said on Wednesday.

It is yet not clear how much the flight would cost, but clearly improvement of the existing train line is not a priority. Travel time by train now takes the ridiculous 10 hours.
