Russia continues to destroy the Black Sea ecosystem with regular leaks of oil and oil products into the water. A new accident occurred off the coast of Novorossiysk during loading operations at the Caspian Pipeline Consortium’s marine terminal.
According to Russian propaganda media, the area of pollution was about 1 square kilometre, Dialog.UA reports. The leak occurred due to the rupture of a cargo hose during the refuelling of the Turkish tanker T.Semahat.
>CPC, which handles more than one per cent of global oil, exports mainly from Kazakhstan via Russia and the Black Sea’s terminal.

>It normally deploys three mooring points, with one usually acting as a backup. CPC, whose shareholders include US majors Chevron and Exxon Mobil, said that one mooring point, SPM-1, is still operational.
