26·11 months agoLemmy people do not like your comment, but I think you are spot on. Laypeople just do not care about privacy, like, at all. That’s how instagram, facebook and such are popular despite all the privacy infractions.
It’s so sad how people 1000% prefer convenience over privacy…

1·1 year agoReading the post, I found what I really want right now: a federated review platform. Too many times I want to look for a product, and has to look into a reddit thread to see a recommendation. There should be one, right? Where is it?
It really looks like this is getting to the end. Somewhat paradoxically, I am on the edge on the issue, nearly being forced to join the LLM hype. I think this is the indicator.
Gotta see what remains after bubble pops.
