Your logo looks identical to Photon’s logo, and the UI seems very Photon-y. Inspiration or coincidence?

Woah! How have I missed this?? I probably just only ever searched for “ocean” and “fish”… Silly me

I’ll be sure to link it in the sidebar of !marine@r1b.it along with any others I missed :)

Yup! I’ve actually posted in both before (I did so on the former quite recently). However, !aquariums is for, well, aquariums. Y’know pets and their homes. !marine@r1b.it is for all sea animals, not just the pets!

But you’re absolutely right – I completely forgot about !ocean when writing this post. I shouldn’t have said I’ve “never seen a marine community”. Though, it is fairly inactive like you said. And this is the Fediverse! A little decentralization never hurt anyone ;) I’m perfectly happy to run alongside and support “competing” communities

Fr. It will be missed…

r1b.it ;)

Wow, 6 years? You’ve even got me beat. Wear that as a badge of honor! Like I said in another comment, bigger number better, lol

I agree. That’s part of why I made my own. I was originally a part of feddit.de and moved to feddit.org when they shut down. I was already hesitant because I could tell they were growing, but I didn’t expect them to as much as they did, lol

Honestly, any extremist slop

Twin

Oof, hate that. The freedom of speech does NOT include the freedom to oppress

Oh no way! I totally understand that :) That’s still nice to hear

Edit: I just saw how old your account was. I’m surprised you even considered it! I was hesitant on making my own instance because I had a pretty dang old account on feddit.org and bigger number better, lol

I haven’t heard anything new beyond what’s been said on Matrix. They still don’t have a timeline, so they’re just stuck waiting to get access back. Hopefully that won’t be much longer!

Thank you kindly! Will do ;)
