What a twist!

What a twist!

Zelensky reiterated that Ukraine is ready to provide drone interceptors in exchange for missiles, though he did not specify which countries could be involved.
Well, well, well… Tables the turned how have.

Seems weird that Russia would attempt something based entirely on the rest of the world trusting Russia.

That’s what plenty of people do here on Lemmy, though. And from my experience, their inventive narratives are always wrong. Not just wrong, but often as polarised from the truth as could be.
I think it’s an echo chamber thing. They just assume everything is like how it is in their feed. That view makes the building blocks for a narrative out of nothing. Suddenly the claim is made a person likes killing when there’s nothing indicating that or even a reason to bring it up. Their head just goes there for some reason and with confidence to boot. Weird.

I don’t have either of those things :(

Easy. Atlantic Sea Society!

AU is taken, mate. But I reckon Australia would be bloody on board too.

What’s with authoritarian world leaders having the tackiest taste in decor?
Like, they manage to make expensive things look cheap and nasty. I know the things in this picture are not, but the whole vibe is falling so far short of what it’s going for, it actually goes in the opposite direction. It’s nasty.

Yep. Terrible at many things, very good at others. At the end of the day, very useful technology.
Just as my grandmother always used ti say, “You can’t use a knife to beat an egg but you can fuck a player up with it.” RIP Gammy. She was the sweetest.

50% of the post here are. Echo chambers rely on most users never reading the article.

I don’t even know if I pronounce it right. Is it like libré or is it more like a lobster-tiger hybrid? Or a Lemur-cobra.hybtid?
Also, if they’re watching, the themes still make the UI all funky unless it’s on the default—at least for Calc, anyway.

Which of course makes identifying borders really hard. This is why they often follow distinct geography features like rivers and mountain ranges, or form a line between distinct features.
Also never known of an entire continent acting as a single force.
Good for the environment and wheel lube.

On Reddit, I once bragged about having universal healthcare and got called a Nazi and a communist at the same time.
This is what happens when Xbox kids that use the n-word grow up. They learn new “bad” words and throw them around out of context and contradictingly. They don’t actually know what those things are, though, so it never makes sense.
I’ve been called a tankie here. I didn’t know what it was and looked it up, just to discover it was the literal opposite of the things I was saying. I was very confused and just put it down to frustrated self-projection. At some point they had been called that, it upset them, so now they use it to upset people too but they still don’t actually know what it is they’re saying.
If I see someone defaulting to Russian bot or tankie, I’ve found another Xbox kid and it’s in my best interests to just move on.

Well, the sanctions kicked off when Russia entered, sooo… I dunno why Russia thought they’d be able to leverage their compliance with the ceasefire for anything. Especially when everyone’s already assuming they won’t enact or uphold it.

First graph is percentages as a ratio. Second is figures. Losing tanks at the same rate as usual.

And Vance on his soapbox, “We can solve this with diplomacy.”
Zelensky somehow face palms with just a facial expression.
But how will you get unsolicited email from them and their ‘partners’? 😔
