  • Hi, I’m sorry to hear you’re finding the UI to be an issue. If possible I would like to improve how it looks on mobile with the PyLova fork.

On my device I see it as the attached screenshot, which doesn’t appear to have too much wasted screen space. Is it different on your device? What parts exactly are an issue for you?

    Thanks for your time!

  • Why are you repeatedly spreading disinformation?

The very first paragraph of your link proves that this is not a call to defederate LW.

Note: Judging by the comments, a lot of people are obviously not reading the post and are instead assuming we are calling for defederation of lemmy.world. That is not the case, and in fact the opposite is true. LW already temporarily defederated anarchist.nexus once, and the evidence suggests Mr Kaplan is now pushing for full defederation of all the FAF instances. We are trying to build a coalition of instances that will agree to defederate from lemmy.world IF Kaplan goes ahead with the defederation. Apologies if you weren’t aware of the context.

  • It looks like the Flotilla that is allying itself hard with the Triad is also becoming problematic.

    Make things up much?

Edit: example call (scroll down to read the GIANT TEXT part - you literally cannot miss it) for the entire Flotilla to defederate from the Western/European/democratic Lemmy.World,

Wow, yes you do make things up much. This is a mutual pact that if any one of us gets defederated first, that we will respond in kind. It is not a call to defederate from .world.

I understand you’re on team let the Palestinians be murdered, but those of us on the left abhor such genocide. While you’re invested in attacking the left to promote right-wing liberal politics that fund, arm, and enable such atrocities, some of us have ethics and want to resist such evils.

  • The thing is, nothing is automated. From what I can see it only flags potential posts for a mod/admin to verify and act on.

It’s not like this is a bot that scans everyone’s posts and automatically bans them, it’s an entirely manual process to download a comment history and AI ctrl-f for stuff.

There has been some deceptive information spread around what this tool seems to actually do. Which is especially concerning after the recent (proven) misinformation about Nazis infiltrating our instances.

  • Thanks, I’ll work on that part tonight.

Basically you’re signing up your instance (adding a bot or generic user account that will be used to subscribe to the comms shared), and you add your admin username (no other information) so that it can be verified that an instance admin is the one initiating this procedure.

The bot credentials are so that it can subscribe to communities shared on Threadirator and help them federate to other instances, as discovery of new communities is not automatic requiring at least one account on an instance to manually visit/join it before it will start appearing in feeds.
