I’m not picky, really. I just stumbled across the Denizen line after a work trip took a lot longer than planned, and I was in dire need of clean clothes.

Jeans: Anywhere, really. When it’s time to get a new pair, I go to the nearest store that sells them. The only exception is whenever I’m in the US, I get some from Target, as I find the Denizen line really comfy and I haven’t found them in Europe.

T-shirts: Usually gifted to me. Plus I accumulate t-shirts from work that I often wear privately.

Socks: My local grocery store. They carry the Caterpillar brand which I really like.

Underwear: wherever.

Anything else: I rarely wear anything else

Not disputing your claim, as it doesn’t surprise me at all, but I’m curious: What are “the worst right wing instances” ?

I haven’t paid enough attention to notice any instances with a consistent and noticeable right-wing lean.

My uneducated understanding/intuition: Mechanical resistance to movement between two surfaces that touch. This resistance is partially caused by imperfections in the two surfaces that cause the surfaces to slightly mesh (which is why the force pushing the surfaces together is proportional to the friction). Also, partially, I am sure there’s some electromagnetic laws at play on the molecular level that resists the movement.

Is it really friction, though? It seems more like a case of one layer inducing mechanical work in the other, which in turn results in loss of efficiency due to inertia and actual friction within that layer.

In other word, I read this akin to an inductive coil moving through a magnetic field and drives a motor with a load. This will cause the coil to resist the movement, but it can hardly be called friction.

As I mentioned elsewhere, this was partially fueled (pun intended, I am no coward; I intend my puns) by subsidies running out at the end of the year. Buying a car in Norway is HEAVILY taxed, but EVs were exempt from those taxes for as long as I can remember. Many wanted to buy an EV before those exemptions expired.

I’ve been to Equatorial Guinea quite a few times, and it’s surprising how little one notice the militariatic government.

Except from customs when arriving, come to think of it. Anything that can be considered military in nature gets confiscated. I had one coworker who had a pair of binoculars seized. And another one lost a pair of boxer shorts because they had a camouflage pattern.

They probably haven’t unlocked enough of the tech tree yet for those.

I read somewhere that Russian rail traffic is down 10% this month. I wonder if this is why.

I choose to believe that they were able to afford this retooling and pivot after selling a very famous black couch to an internet connoisseur for a small fortune.
