1 month agoDefinitely. I find I’m on Reddit more often since I started using PieFed. It’s not just the additional amount of engagement, but I’m using hyper-local and the more specialized book based reddits that don’t seem to exist on the Fediverse. I don’t have the bandwidth to create and promote communities I find missing.
JFC the Quake’s death toll in Haiti was larger than the Christmas tsunami and particularly insane considering the quake’s strength and about a century of learning how to build in earthquake zones.
