Seems the working fediverse needs server teams that are not too big or small.
I feel gloomy thinking this will be a bottleneck for diversity, expansion and growth on lemmy.

No negative x axis
I’m not sure of what I’m talking about exactly, but I vaguely suspect that integrating with the fediverse will make some of their less ethical practices at tumbler too transparent and obvious.
But that is one part hunch and one part cynical belief, I don’t know of the details
I read a book decades ago about an alternate earth where an Irish monk did just that, except he did not time travel.
In that earth, the Americas were never overrun by Europeans
I rather like combining a rook with a knight

It is rather both sides, isn’t it?
But, after poking around lemmy, I have decided there is value in all instances. There will be communities nestled in between the stuff I do not like. I like and dislike much on lemmy

looking for a instance with the fewest trolls, bots, and anyone that likes to take things to the extremes.
All the instances are good in their own way, but at least one will irritate you very much, and it’s always different. There are ways each one can make you go “why???”
There are commenters who will call one or more instances bad things. That may or may not be accurate for you.
Each large instance has one or more crazy mods, all instances mostly have decent mods. Each instance will have multiple examples about why it’s good or horrible.
There are a huge number of lemmy users who are genocide deniers and hate many other things , including lemmy.ml and the developers
But all the other pictures you post, which I am very grateful for, show the fighters clean shaven, or bearded and with decent haircuts.
So, it was jarring to see, and I feel like it’s a slight against Stone Age warriors. It may be just a me thing, but I’ve been thinking about it
Right, so there is no excuse to not be clean shaven and have decent haircuts ; I feel like the artist tried to make them look haggard
I’ve been thinking about this all day, so I am going to just say it plainly and bluntly. To have heard stubble one must have razors. Why do many here have beard stubble and bad haircuts?
Other than that, it’s a splendid scene

Which span of years is this worn?
That was sort of brutal
The had to fight again Hemline-able, someone named similar to that? Lost in the threads of history perhaps
Cool !
It’s the room directly off the side of the drawing
I’m clueless about the discussions about this: but my concern is that, over time (years) most user activity will be on a handful of well managed instances. Smaller instances will come and go.
