Why do assume that people are being little shits? Why do you assume that people are freaking out? If your impressions of people around you tend to be negative, your going to live a life always in the defensive and always apprehensive of peoples motivations. I know this is copium but if they felt the need to make a live action Zelda movie, maybe the next game be less colorful like the last 3 mainline games (SS, BotW, Totw).

Does anyone else wonder if the next game and this movie might have similarities in art direction? It’s odd to me that Nintendo would decide to do live action after the success of the colorful Botw and TotK art direction.

I know it’s just likely copium for a spiritual successor to Twilight Princess.
