I still don’t understand why Ukraine isn’t building V1 style buzzbombs with modern navigation systems. Cheap as fuck, long range, easily manufactured in massive scale. Pulse jet engines are so cheap, tha RC enthusiasts use them.

You don’t even need a fragmentation warhead. Eight or ten buckshot 12 gauge shells, arranged in a semi spherical pattern will bring anything in a 100-200m radius down.
I had three scooters that I used for my restaurant delivery. All 3 were piaggio but one of them was from a Chinese joint venture with piaggio. I’m going to assume that Piaggio made the engine and the Chinese the frame, body and assembly. This scooter from hell has the spark plug blocked by a strut. You need to drop the engine to replace. The other two have extra nice access, with cutouts in the plastic parts for easy access, etc.
French artillery engineers had a simple idea: Take a big gun, mount it on a truck, and you’ve got self-propelled artillery at relatively little cost.
Horses have been moving artillery pieces around basically since mobile cannons were developed.
Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, or even Google. They give a shit about your wellbeing, as long as they profit.
That’s delusional. The try to cater to what will keep you engaged, so that as much of the data you can generate can be milked. That’s like saying that agrobusiness cares about livestock’s wellbeing.
I only wear suits when I have to, but I’ve worked in “suit environments” many years. Suits have many purposes, like hiding the truly horrible bodies that some have, Trump is an example. They also prevent people from showing up to work in garish or outlandish outfits which may be distracting or offensive to some. Also, they make dressing up to go to work really simple.
That said, I live in a place that has really hot summers, like 40C+, and wearing a suit in summer is really uncomfortable, even those linen summer suits. It’d be great if there were a number of accepted formal attires. For hot weather I like the caribbean “Guayabera”
Do domesticated hornets exist?
Adulthood is very subjective.
We should give him an evil whine, Or a Muttley wheezing laugh?
Short answer: yes. Long answer: yes.
BTW, F16s are not as the article says 5th gen fighters. They are 4th gen, and early blocks at that. they are almost discards. They are obsolete fighters that are being replaced by modern fighters by the nations donating them. There is no goody goodness here. Ukraine is being used to use up old stock to replenish with shinier stuff.
Have European countries sent Eurofighters, or Rafales, or Leopards 2A6s? Hmmm…
I own a Skoda (VW group) that is extremely reliable. 25 years old almost 500.000Km. Not a single major repair, except for consumables like clutches, timing belts a starter motor, and such. It doesn’t burn or leak oil. Refrigerant is changed every few years, but never needs topping up. The car feels solid.
I have heard from owners of newer VW group cars that they are not as solid and reliable nowadays.
Not only that, most of Spain (except the Canaries), the most extreme case, Is on a time zone that has a border with Russia, while actually being on the Greenwich meridian.
Spain manufactures Leopards (Santa Barbara-General dynamics). That helps. They can replenish stocks. People often don’t know that Spain is one of the world’s top 10 weapons exporters in the world.
Turret tossing should become an olympic sport. At least an invitation sport.
Spain is by definition an imperfect democracy. You don-t vote for people, but for party lists, so all the people in a list are bound to party rule.
The Segovia aqueduct, Spain. It gives you an idea of how insane Roman engineering was.
