It amuses me that expressing understanding with the retaliation is forbidden. I definitely understand why a militant extremist group has arisen after decades of oppression and genocide.

Like, how do you negotiate your way out of that peacefully? Where in history has oppression on that level been defeated through diplomacy?

I seem to have forgotten the part where the allies defeated Nazi Germany by asking nicely. Surely no war was fought for recognising black people as humans in the U.S.

Perhaps Ukraine should put down their weapons and ask Russia to pretty please stop invading their country and killing their people.

There’s nothing wrong withwith WiFi 6, you can do perfectly fine transfer rates with that. It’s all up to Nintendo. The 3DS and Switch didn’t need to be limited to dial-up speeds but that’s what we got.

The 3DS and original Switch had terrible WiFi performance. I hope that’s sorted with the Switch 2, particularly given the extremely premium price point on it.

I don’t get how it costs almost as much as the PS5 Pro.

I got the original Switch, but honestly if there’s anything on the Switch 2 I’ll want to play I’ll probably just emulate it.

That sounds like a fucking dystopian nightmare, is what it does. Though I know this is about the software, and not the companies.

I mean unlike housing, you don’t actually need to pay for a domain name. There are plenty of free alternatives if you ill like paying for a TLD, and in lieu of that you could just memorise the IP, or even instruct people to change their hosts file.

I feel like the overall engagement has increased. I see a lot more niche communities (like people butchering their VWs in various ways 😂) and it’s nice! There’s generally conversation to be had and such, it feels like a healthy platform.

Lemmy slotted in the gap that Reddit left really easily for me, and I’m getting what I wanted from the platform.
