Now that I see the version without the gradient banding, I agree that it’s better with it. Makes it look more retro.

Assuming the gradient banding of the fog is a stylistic choice, it looks neat!
Their name of choice for this service is terrible, but I like the initiative. Hopefully it won’t be a dead social app in half a year from launch.
