Edit: Problem solved for me. Should I leave this post up for any future people who ask this? Or should I delete it so future other people don’t try to answer a solved question?
You may preface or append “[solved]” to the post title.

Maybe their admin went to North Korea to search for Wintermute.

The map is a bit weird in that regard. Also Belarus is still unfree on that map.

This map shows more wishful thinking. It’s not only Canada, but also UK (or Scotland, Wales, England and united Ireland), Iceland, Norway and Greenland.

Edit: I forgot Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia and the rest of the Balkan countries that aren’t part of EU yet.

Mine doesn’t. Neither map view nor satellite view.

If Africa was the same continent as Asia, it should be easy to walk across.
They literally had to dig the Suez channel to separate both.

(alternatively most map apps go to a globe view when you zoom right out.)
Well, … no, at least GMaps, OSMAnd, Comaps don’t. Thanks to @shadowtofu@discuss.tchncs.de for the hint. https://discuss.tchncs.de/comment/23729118

No, as far as I can see, they don’t, the western border of russia is straight-ish without Crimea protruding further to the west.
However, in the base map (upper image), Crimea seems to be neither Ukraine nor russia.

No, one kilometer in Africa is about 60 % shorter than in russia.

Makes sense, as the German short variant Hans is stated as well which is also used in compound names.

Taiwan isn’t member of the UNO, and thus ain’t member of the WHO either.

SS shield? I only see the ones with the cross from the coat of arms of the German Bundeswehr.
Also, the Nazis were against the use of Fraktur fonts and promoted the use of Antiqua fonts.

It’s possible that it doesn’t work:

In Lemmy, communities are linked with ! not , e.g. !dach@feddit.org maybe this also works from Mastodon.

Maybe, as the capital of russia is in Europe, russia is counted as Europe, while Turkey is counted to Asia, as its capital is in its Asian part.

What I want to know is what “rate % change” mean?
I assume, theft rate is something like amount of thefts reported to police (per capita) per year, % change means the relative difference between two values in percent, i.e.
[value(2024)-value(2014)]/value(2014)·100 %
= [value(2024)/value(2014)-1]·100 %

From the previous version of the article (archive):
Russia carried out a “massive” overnight attack on several Ukrainian cities, President Volodymyr Zelensky has said, a day after he warned of strikes over the Christmas period.
At least three people were killed, according to Ukrainian officials, including a four-year-old child, while energy infrastructure was also targeted, leaving several regions without power.
Zelensky said “people simply want to be with their families, at home, and safe” in the run-up to Christmas, and said the strikes sent “an extremely clear signal about Russia’s priorities” despite ongoing peace talks.
He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin “still cannot accept that he must stop killing. And that means that the world is not putting enough pressure on Russia”.
I wish you, your family and friends all the strength you need to get through this difficult time.

It’s a quote from Zelenskyy.
It seems so, as the project (Emissary) is using the GNU Affero GPL.
