Thanks, I saw the name a few times but had no clue what it really was yet.

At least NZ is actually on the map, even if it is just a smear at the edge.

Even if they are, it’s better to target their depots than the transport vehicles. The main attacks on Russia are drones and missiles designed for stationary targets. If they hit a school bus in an ammo depot, that’s not really Ukraine’s fault, and doesn’t really change the mission.

I think the evolution of drones will eventually lead to a new aircraft system. A multi rotor configuration powered by a turbines, and capable of lifting loads similar to, or greater than, an Osprey. Mainly as a cargo system for moving large factor ammo, like drones, missiles or artillery shells. But also capable of moving supplies or being a quick evac.
If you enforce those rules, you won’t have any posts.

The new land mine detector has been recruited.

Didn’t even think of it but yeah, fishing nets can be miles long and would stop an fpv drone in it’s tracks.

Of course it can, just don’t expect what it hits to correlate to what you might want it to hit.

That, and the instant this became news, data sovereignty became a national security issue.

The US is the largest arms exporter in the world. It would be amazing if that were made no longer true.

It’s more of being able to know why some elements can’t be created. There’s a large chunk of physics that we know how it works (stellar collapses or atomic collisions), and we know what to expect, but we don’t really know the ‘why’ to large chunks of it. Meaning any predictions beyond that, are just extrapolating guesses based on what we know. Filling in solid theory on the nucleus gives us a whole new range of experimentation to find new physics.

That sounds like it might be huge if it holds up. Especially if it can accurately predict much larger isotopes.

Pretty sure Putin doesn’t have another couple years in the tank. Especially if Europe can put pressure on China and India.

If I read the mineral deal right, and I could easily be wrong, it sounds like the less military aid Ukraine gets from the US, the less the deal costs Ukraine. So I suspect they’re going to lean on EU deals as much as possible.
And while a peace deal might stop open warfare, I expect Kyiv will have a strong motivation to over arm themselves, probably with the assistance and collaboration with Poland, until Putin is dead. After that will depend on his successor.

My hope is that we’ll see an adjustment of congress attitude after April 1st special elections. They should all be easy GoP wins, but I don’t think they will be. I’d put the NY election at even odds. The two Florida districts are 20 points red, so shouldn’t even be a question of who wins, but I think they’ll be close. If the GoP loses one, some of them will start to sound like they have a back bone. If they lose two, they’ll start talking back in the media. If all three flip, they lose the house and shit gets real.
Again most likely result is a squeaking win that will make for some grumbling, but no real change in our path to hell. What’s crazy is that there is an assumption congress will be a thing by April 1st. The market is in free fall right now, and it’s being very conservative on the amount of damage Trump just did. As that plays out, the bad news is going to keep pouring in from all quarters. Things are going to get chaotic, in very dystopian ways.

While I agree, the truth is, as much as he’s dancing all over every institution, he still doesn’t actually have control of his party. And with the razor thin margins he’s running, he’s likely to get shut down hard when he finally hits that wall.

Pretty sure that would require congressional approval, similar to the uranium deals we used to buy decommissioned warhead cores to turn into reactor fuel.

Ask an AI to make an image with a word on it, lemme know when it can actually spell the word right. Because right now it spits out the concept of a word, which really isn’t the same thing.

Ukraine has two weeks to make a LOT more of these happen. They need to break Russia’s income in a way that can’t be fixed fast. If they had the capability, hunting down Russia’s shadow fleet of oil tankers would be the next best target.
Danger Mouse confirmed.
