Southeast Europe•Croatians plan shopping boycott on January 24 in protest against high food pricesEnglish
2·1 year agoYeah, I’m suprised it’s picking up so much steam. I am also participating, but I don’t really have money so I probably wouldn’t be buying anything anyway.
Funny thing about this, the message that was being forwarded about this suggested buying groceries the day before, which would kinda defeat the purpose of the boycott.

Southeast Europe•Presidential elections in Croatia uphold same balancesEnglish
2·1 year agoI did not read it like that. Seems like a pretty neutral article to me, mostly listing facts about both of them.
Despite the HDZ’s backing, Primorac has been unable to rally the party’s base behind his campaign.
I feel like even HDZ does not want Primorac to win. For one, he was kicked out of the party in 2009 (the article does not mention that). Also, if HDZ does not win the presidential election, they have more leverage for being re-elected in the more important parliament elections.

I’m not too thrilled about Milanović staying as he tried to quit so he can run for prime minister, which is pretty disrespectful of the presidential office. That said, there is no way I will vote for HDZ and Primorac.
Might just skip this one.

No, it’s still there.
