My friend worked in a store that opened all games, put the discs/carts in the back, and only had cases out front. She could indeed take games home, play them, and sell them as brand new for full price if she took them home to play them. She thought it was right fucked up hahaha
I’ve mentioned to a group of folks in a conversation about where we go online nowadays that I really only comment on Lemmy anymore and have been asked about it with much interest! I’ve got two people to join, as well! I’ve just said “Oh it’s like if Reddit kinda sucked to get started with but it’s very small and there’s like .05% of the LLM/fake engagement bait posts”
When they asked how to join, I just had them check out the join lemmy site and said I chose dbzer0 cuz yarrr, and they said “oh that’s cool” and later told me they joined.
I don’t know their usernames and they don’t know mine tho, I keep all online stuff completely separate from other online stuff and also real life.

I found a ring of places federated with each other, but not federated with Lemmy as a whole. I wanna say some of those as a joke answer but I think it’d be a bit grim of a joke for Lemmy as a whole—the stuff those communities discuss is stuff that you and I do NOT want to see.

Absolutely same, with one caveat… I want my phone to have the best possible camera I can get. …two caveats, I want to also keep my phone for as long as possible. If I use a phone for five years and it’s still fast and has a relatively nice camera after five years, 1200-1500USD is totally reasonable.
I didn’t even need to upgrade to THIS phone when my last one was five years old, but I wanted more space for pictures (I keep about 20k on there at a time)… and switching to 120hz for scrolling web sites also was a huge bonus
Driver here! I love my car, she is incredible and comfy and has an amazing sound system.
…if I have the option, 100% bus or train, I don’t want to drive. I’d much rather put on noise cancelling headphones and zone out and read or something then pilot a deathmobile (who, I will repeat, I love her very much because she’s best)
Sure some things may leak out through the day but the anus is incredibly effective at being a barrier. Even a strong spray of bidet directly into asshole? No water gets in. Okay maybe a little stuff eventually leaks out, but now you aren’t just smearing shit all over your cheeks and hole dry, it’s much cleaner.
