11 months agoAs long as it’s online and public they can acces the info. But we have tools to fight back. Some instances are private unless you’re a member, some choose to defederate, we can ban bots, etc
Nothing is perfect, it’s always an ongoing struggle.
The best strategy I found is to tell Reddit users to use both platforms. Lemmy doesn’t need to be the perfect alternative right away. They just need to test and see that the fediverse is not that hard to understand.
