Back, many years ago on reddit, the stereotypical fedora-wearing neckbeard was given the fictitious name of “Doritan Cheeto”, and that’s immediately what sprang to mind when I saw the thumbnail.

Ditto. It got worse as the user base grew, but going public really accelerated the decline. Lemmy feels a lot like it did back when reddit was fun.

I too recently got a 3 day suspension. I’m not going back.
