If you guys like this you should check out the Appalachian mountain range too. It’s 1.1 billion years old and you’ll need a map spanning the Atlantic because the eastern most side is in Scotland and the western most in The Southeast US.

Yeah, that’s true, but it was always going to be a tight line to walk to get out from under a Russian invasion without going the Afghanistan route.
Or Russia decides eating a nuke isn’t worth it because they know what launching a nuke from Russia would mean.
Well Zelensky was very clear about there being two paths. I welcome the world’s newest member of the nuclear weapons club.
Why though? I can single fire an MG if I need to and the belt allows for far more ammo before we have to expose ourselves or bring it back to reload it. Suppressors exist for .30 cal barrels and 240’s absolutely range 1,000m.
Yup. We’ve had them for 20 years. It started as a vehicle mount with a .50 married to a CLU. Then moved to tracked robots about as high as your knee, running a thermal and a 240. They haven’t been widely deployed because the US hasn’t been in a large scale defensive situation like Ukraine.
Should I tell him?
I’m going to tell him.
We’ve had remote weapons turrets with high accuracy in the thousands of meters for 20 years.
NCD is dead. They got too excited and died from blood loss after giant nose bleeds.
You have to be extraordinarily unlucky to be hit by a wild shot at range. Unless there’s someone right behind the drone it’s not going to matter.
Well can’t outrun it and you can’t take the ammo with you after you die.
Meh, use a wire then. A one day class in wiring stuff means the range cadre can keep attaching wires to leads all day long.
The US Infantry already carries shotguns for breaching. So yes. Very feasible.
I’m surprised only one guy tried to shoot it. Are they that low on ammo?
This is right up there with that one time^1 they used a computer to collude on rent prices.
1 - It wasn’t actually just one time. It was actually a lot of times, each day, for years.
