5·4 months agoAnyone who’s ever been addicted to anything is very aware of this. I feel like this was made by and for people who has never been addicted or had any real experiences of it via others in their lives. I remember asking to borrow $4 for snus from my sister a couple of years ago and she just said “no, I’m not gonna help feed your addiction, just stop using it”. She still lives in a major bubble of never having even thought about addiction more than that it’s bad and people who are addicts are bad.

It’s not true at all though… John is one name, the ones written here are just other (similar) names. Same as some people being named Alex and others Alexander. In Swedish John and Johan are both very common and never used interchangeably, and I’m very sure it’s the same everywhere else. This whole post is just dumb.
So then a ton of animal meat products needs to have their names changed too “heavily processed animal pulp” too? Because that’s what they are.
I don’t understand how that is the reply you went with. Why would a product having torture in the name be meaning it’s the torture of the person who buys it? According to exactly what you said above, it should describe the product, which the person you replied to followed.
I think that’s a mushroom though, but I’m not completely sure, and I can’t speak for their views on consent for tickling.

6·1 year agoIt’s not about cheap crap, it’s about the predatory nature of almost all apps shown and how well-known it is that they’re ethically bad.
I think it’s well described there, way better than Lemmy and most other fediverse things.

11·1 year agoAs much as we all want this, not sure how much it’ll change. I don’t have the knowledge to make a guess on who would take his place and how bad that person would be.
Nice, came here to post my thread about it. Cool to see it made some effect and is remembered! I will always tell others that deezer isn’t a good choice.
